    It’s time to VOTE for your favorite COVID-19 data visualization for the August 2020 UAI “Best Visualization of the Month” contest!

    Please select your favorite COVID-19 data visualization for the UAI “Best Visualization of the Month” contest at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7GXHR7G!

    When selecting your favorite, consider criteria like, how automated is the visualization, from where is the visualization pulling the data, how easy is the visualization to understand, etc. (of course this criteria is not required, but we wanted to pass along some example criteria to consider while selecting your favorite visualization).

    We will close this poll at the end of the day on the last business day of the month, which is August 31, 2020.
    We will announce the member favorite at the beginning of next month.

    The member favorite will receive pride and glory, bragging rights, and a $10 Starbucks gift card!

    Martin, i looks like your hunch is correct. As of this morning, Zoom has only issued an apology, but New York Times is reporting that the increased usage looks like the cause.  Maybe Zoom should now start doing load forecasting, maybe, TOD metering or congestion or location based pricing……

    Update, 1:10pm ET Zoom says the fix is complete: “We have resolved the issue causing some users to be unable to start and join Zoom Meetings and Webinars or manage aspects of their account on the Zoom website.”
