    Hello UAI Members,

    I would like to send a BIG thank you to all the UAI members that presented and facilitated during August 2020 Community Conversations, as well as to our Community Sponsors and Leaders for their continued time, commitment, guidance and support to drive and deliver valuable programs on an ongoing basis.

    The following sessions took place in August 2020 during UAI Community Conversations. UAI members that have signed-up for these specific Communities can download the monthly session presentations and recordings on the online Community Collaboration Exchange (CCX) Libraries, which I have linked below:

    • August 20: Analytics Architecture & Technology Community Conversation – “Trials and Tribulations of Purchasing a Big Data Platform” with Community Leader, Sandi Joralemon, Data Analytics Supervisor at New Braunfels Utilities
    • August 25: Safety Analytics Community Conversation – “PowerBI – Using Leading Indicators to Drive Safety Performance” with three members from the American Transmission Company (ATC) safety team:
    • Nick Robinson – Manager of Safety, ATC
    • Mark Balconi – Consultant Safety Program Manager, ATC
    • Alex Jackson – Safety Program Manager, ATC
  • August 27: Enterprise Analytics Community Conversation – “Canadian and U.S Privacy perspectives – the difference between legislative intent and practical implications” with Honorable Michelle Rempel Garner, Canadian Member of Parliament and Britt Bachtel-Browning, Chief of Privacy and Data Ethics, Senior Counsel, Avista
