    Hello UAI Members,

It is time to feature the next 2021 UAI Excellence Award: Community Engagement Award – Most Engaged Individual UAI Member!  Before I feature this 2021 award, let’s celebrate the 2020 Most Engaged Individual UAI Member from the Community Engagement Awards… @Travis! You can listen to Travis’ acceptance speech from last year and learn more about the amazing work Travis is doing within Tacoma Power from the Analytics All-Stars webcast (register to watch on-demand). Congratulations to Travis for winning this award in 2020! We appreciate all you do for UAI!

Nominations not required to qualify for the UAI Community Engagement Award.

UAI will select our winner for this award category from a combination of engagement activity, including engagement score on UAI Connect (How often are you posting or replying on Ask Your Network or other online communities? How often are you sharing resources? Are you viewing and downloading research? Have you completed your profile? Are you inviting other members to connect and sending direct messages via UAI Connect direct messaging?… all of these activities count toward your overall engagement score on UAI Connect), UAI Community Conversation involvement (Are you attending Community Conversations regularly? Are you volunteering as a Community leader or sponsor?), and other volunteerism with UAI… there are so many opportunities to get involved to become a more engaged UAI member.

Reach out to me directly at lcook@utilityanalytics.com if you want to get more involved or have questions about volunteering with UAI…

Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. And volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit you and your utility as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new connections, expands your network, and boosts your social skills. In other words…The more you give, the more you get in return.

I look forward to seeing you become more involved and engaged with UAI!

    Thanks!

         Leslie
