    Hello UAI Members,

It is time to feature the next 2021 UAI Excellence Award: Community Engagement Award – Most Engaged Utility Company!  Before I feature this 2021 award, let’s celebrate the 2020 Most Engaged Utility Company Member from the Community Engagement Awards… Evergy (with @Eddy representing Evergy)! You can listen to Eddy’s acceptance speech from last year and learn more about the amazing work Evergy is doing from the Analytics All-Stars webcast (register to watch on-demand). Congratulations to Evergy for winning this award in 2020! We appreciate all you do for UAI!

Nominations not required to qualify for the UAI Community Engagement Awards.

UAI will select our winner for this award category from a combination of engagement activity from employees across their utility, including engagement score on UAI Connect (How often are employees posting or replying on Ask Your Network or other online communities? How often are employees sharing resources? Are the employees viewing and downloading research? How many completed profiles do the employees have on UAI Connect? etc… all of these activities count toward your overall engagement score on UAI Connect), UAI Community Conversation involvement (Are utility employees attending Community Conversations regularly? Are they volunteering as Community leaders or sponsors?), and other volunteerism with UAI… there are so many opportunities to get involved to become a more engaged UAI member. The more employees you have engaged with UAI, the more likely you are to win the Most Engaged Utility Company category within the Community Engagement Award!

Reach out to me directly at lcook@utilityanalytics.com if you want help getting more of your team involved with UAI or have questions about volunteering with UAI…

Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. And volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit you and your utility as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new connections, expands your network, and boosts your social skills. In other words…The more you give, the more you get in return.

I look forward to seeing you and your team become more involved and engaged with UAI!

    Thanks!

         Leslie
