  What Does “Community” Mean To You? 🧐

  Hey UAI Members!

  I was thinking this morning about what community means, and that made me want to put the question to my favorite community members here!

  So I’m asking you all – what does “community” mean to you?

  What makes up community in your mind. What you get out of it, what you expect from it, etc.

  I’ve been managing and participating in communities (both online and communities that meet in-person) since my early career days. And to me it’s finding people “like” you – similar goals, similar mindsets, similar interests. It’s also about sharing information and helping each other, and making connections with people you wouldn’t otherwise meet.

  I have professional connections and personal friends (some professional connections that have become friends) all over the globe thanks to communities, so they hold a special place in my heart, and it’s one of the reasons I work so hard to keep people engaging through UAI.

  Now it’s your turn – what does “community” mean to you?

  I ask, because I want to make sure I am providing you the type of “community” you want and need.
