Thought this is worth sharing especially with all the excitement/buzz on using LLMs across all industries.

Transparency, ethical, and both explicability and explainability should be top of mind when deploying analytics of any kind.

    Hello UAI Members,

Well here we are, the FINAL Wednesday of 2023! As we look back on this past year, I thought it would be fun to celebrate our big wins and successes throughout 2023. These wins can either be personal or work related and I believe will be the perfect way to conclude our #WisdomWednesday thread for the year.

I can get us started – This past year, as many of you know, I moved from Colorado to Florida. Though I was unsure at first, I’m happy to say I feel right at home here at the beach and will be celebrating the start of 2024 with a whole new group of friends!

What were some of your 2023 successes? Don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you in the reply section below!

    Hello UAI Members,

Happy Wednesday! It’s hard to believe but we have just under two weeks left in 2023 … where did the time go! As we wrap up the year, I hope all of you, our busy members, take much deserved time to rest and recharge before the start of new year. Rest, in fact, can be one of the best tools in preventing burnout and helping us to preform our best, which is why this week’s #WisdomWednesday quote comes from none other than Pico Iyer, The Art of Stillness.

“It’s precisely those who are busiest who most need to give themselves a break.”

You can learn more about Pico Iyer’s teaching in his Ted Talk The Art of Stillness.

    Hello UAI Members,

I hope everyone is enjoying December and the start of the holiday season! As we near the end of the year, I wanted to focus this week’s #WisdomWednesday post around the topic of safety. Being that safety is our most important core value at UAI, I’m blessed to be part of an amazing community that also puts safety above all else. For this week’s #WisdomWednesday thread, I encourage everyone to share their favorite safety quote alongside me. This week’s quote comes from Aidan O’Shannessy, The Block Site Manager:

“If you don’t know, ask. Working with people is far better than working against them – Always bring together all the people and information available to you.”

    Hello UAI Members,

Happy Wednesday and I hope everyone is enjoying the start of December! With all the focus around AI, I couldn’t help but focus this week’s #WisdomWednesday post around the topic. For those of you who are sick of talking about AI, I’m sorry! I have one more AI centered quote to share with you today, this time coming from Fei-Fei Li, Co-Director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Inelligence and IT Professor at the Graduate School of Business.

“Artificial Intelligence is not a substitute for human intelligence; it is a tool to amplify human creativity and ingenuity”

    Hello UAI Members,

Happy Wednesday! If you’re anything like me technology can be a “double-edged sword,” sometimes it’s the best thing and other times it’s enormously frustrating! When frustrated, I remind myself of all the ways technology allows me to stay connected with friends, family, and colleagues which is why today’s #WisdomWednesday quote, courtesy of social media entrepreneur Matt Mullenweg, is an important reminder that …

“Technology is best when it brings people together”

    Hello UAI Members,

I hope everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving with their friends and family! Before you start stuffing your faces this week I wanted to leave you with a parting message. For this week’s #WisdomWednesday post I will not be sharing a quote or piece of wisdom but instead sharing what I am thankful for this year, all of you! Each and every one of you make my job an absolute joy and I’m beyond blessed to not only call you my colleagues but my friends as well.

To every new/seasoned member of UAI, THANK YOU and I hope you take time to rest and reconnect this week.

    Hello UAI Members,

If you’re having a gloomy weather day (like I’m having today in Jacksonville) then this #WisdomWednesday post is for you! Sometimes we all feel a little gloomy and need a little pick me up. Fortunately one of my favorite actors Channing Tatum has a funny quote for us today (and a much needed excuse to go for the double cheeseburger).

Have a funny quote you would like to share? Cheer us up and make us laugh in the reply section below!

    Hello All,

Being a Colorado person, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Happy your move to Florida has work for you Kevin.

I didn’t move but it feels like I did. My house got a facelift with new siding, soffits, facia, gutters, and window wells.

Work success has been the opportunity to work with our IT BI team. They are an amazing group of individuals. They are very willing to share their knowledge to help me, as a business user, learn the IT side of the BI world. Can’t wait to see what we create in 2024.
