Vegetation Management using drones

Do any utilities remove whole trees using drones, as part of their vegetation management or emergency response plan?

If not, would this be useful to any utilities?

Here is a video of this technology.

I’m definitely interested in learning more about this, are you using them at Georgia Transmission?

    Hi all!

My professional goal this year is to start a Data Management/Governance initiative at EPE.  I signed up for the course from UAI, reading the DAMA DMBOK and am part of the UAI Data Governance working group.  I think I’ve bitten off more than I can possibly chew, but with all of you helping, maybe I can do it!

    Hello UAI Members,

Happy New Year! It’s officially 2024 and I cannot wait to kick off another amazing year with you all. I’m also hoping everyone took some much deserved time to rest/recover and I look forward to hearing your holiday stories over the coming weeks.

I’ve been thinking for awhile how I would like to start our #WisdomWednesday thread for 2024. Rather than sharing a quote, I thought we could use today’s thread to list out one goal we wish to achieve this year (either personal or professional). The experts always say writing down your goals will help solidify them but today I want to take it one step forward and have you share with your UAI peers! I’ll share two of my goals to get us started. On a professional level I have several new ideas/initiatives I plan to launch right here on UAI Connect (stay tuned). On a personal level, I hope to overcome a (growing) fear of heights.

Who’s feeling brave? Help me populate this thread by hitting “reply” below!
