Hello Asset Health Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! We are one week away from our March (2022) Asset Health Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, March 23rd at 2:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Cameron Carroll, Innovation Group Product Manager, Digital Strategy at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) who will be leading a discussion around, “Using AI to Transform Our Business.” As this discussion will be interactive we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

Session Description:

SDG&E’s innovation framework of Learn, Proof, Scale has led to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform their business. During this session, Cameron Carroll will highlight the collaboration and innovation of two SDG&E projects, the Drone Investigation Assessment & Repair (DIAR) and Intelligent Image Processing (IIP). These initiatives have come together to create a human + machine solution…utilizing drone capture imagery and machine learning models to automatically detect assets and asset damage in imagery generating valuable data and insights for the entire organization.

Speaker: Cameron Carroll, Innovation Group Product Manager, Digital Strategy (SDG&E)

Cameron Carroll is the Group Product Manager – Innovation, with Digital Strategy, at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E). Cameron has been in the utility section for over 10 years. Cameron leads 4 workstreams including Innovation Engine, Intelligent Image Processing, Digital Twin, and Extended Reality. Over the last two years Cameron has had the opportunity to work in the computer vision space and it has been rewarding to see the value a human plus machine solution can unlock. Cameron is part of the leadership team for Intelligent Imagery Processing that earned coveted 2021 CIO 100 Award for its use of innovative technology to deliver greater business value and an enhanced customer experience. Cameron holds a BA in business administration and MA in organizational change management from California State University of Chico.
