I hope all is well! We are one week away from our October (2022) Asset Health Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, October 26th at 2:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Aaron Arzaga, Sr. Analyst – Data Science and Business Intelligence at El Paso Electric Company who will be leading a presentation with Q&A and open discussion around, “How El Paso Electric got in GEAR.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

Session Description:

This session will be an overview of the journey El Paso Electric has taken to transform, automate and promote data and analytics legitimacy through process transformation in Power Generation.

Session Takeaways:

– Start with a ‘sample version’ of an analytics platform to establish data and analytics legitimacy

– Identify opportunities for process improvement and leverage enterprise BI tools

– Overcoming the ‘we don’t understand what you are going to do with data’ feedback.

Speaker: Aaron Arzaga, Sr. Analyst – Data Science and Business Intelligence (El Paso Electric Company)

Aaron Arzaga has been with El Paso Electric for 12.5 years. Throughout those years he has gained experience in Financial Systems support, accounting, regulatory support, and most recently supporting the advancement of Analytics throughout the EPE enterprise. Aaron is most recently completing El Paso Electric’s GEAR (Generation Event Application Recorder) project, which includes the automation and visualization of their safety data for EPE’s Power Generation Department.
