  Upcoming April (2023) In-Person Community Conversation + Meeting Location

  Hello Asset Health Analytics Community Members,

  I hope all is well! We are only a few days away from our April (2023) In-Person Asset Health Analytics Community Conversation (taking place at UA Summit) and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, April 4th at 9:30 AM CT, we will be discussing the following two topics with UAI Asset Health Analytics community members and other UA Summit attendees:

  • Topic 1: “Asset Analytics Use Cases that have resulted in realized value (e.g. O&M savings)”
  • Topic 2: “How to Gain Alignment Between Field Needs, IT Capability, and Leadership Needs”

  Speaker: Randy Mullinax, General Manager, Performance & Reliability (Southern Company)

  

  Randy Mullinax is responsible for the Southern Company retail M&D Center, remote operating center, equipment performance testing and maintenance strategy development for the fossil fleet. He is currently leading the Performance and Reliability group’s effort focused on a digital maintenance program.

  Speaker: Randy Jones, Manager, Condition Based Maintenance, Machinery Diagnostics, Data Analytics, and the Operations M&D Center (Southern Company, Generation and Power Delivery)

  

  Randy has been focused on leading Asset Management and Reliability improvements at the plant and corporate level for over 35 years. He is the Manager of Condition Based Maintenance, Machinery Diagnostics, Data Analytics, and the Operations Monitoring & Diagnostic Center for Southern Company Generation and Power Delivery. These groups help inform approximately $1 Billion in annual spend. Randy is a registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional. 

  Speaker: Mark Konya, Advisory Industry Consultant, UA Energy (SAS)

  

  Mark Konya, Principal Industry Consultant in the Energy Practice department of SAS Global Products, Marketing and Enablement, earned graduate degrees in physics at Washington University (St. Louis) and nuclear engineering at the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana). With over 35 years of utility sector experience in nuclear power generation, distribution system reliability engineering, industrial engineering and customer analytics, Mark shares his insights and expertise with customers on how to integrate SAS into utility and energy company operations. Mark has numerous publications to his credit, including a landmark poster delivered at the 2013 SAS Global Forum focusing on optimizing resource allocation for restoring customer outages following a storm. Mark is a registered professional engineer in two states, a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and a member of IEEE.

  Please note this community conversation will only be taking place in-person at UA Summit, no virtual option will be available. We will again be meeting in the Bennie Moten Meeting Room located at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.
