April 2021 Customer Analytics Follow Up + What’s Next
Hello Customer Analytics Community Members,
Thank you to everyone who attended our Customer Analytics meeting last week, it was great to reconnect! For those unable to attend, we were joined by Harish Rao, VP of Data Analytics at Costco Wholesale, who led a presentation on, “Using Data and Analytics to Engage Customers and Craft Innovative Customer Experiences.” During this meeting, Harish gave an “out of industry” perspective around customer analytics discussing the following topics:
– How Costco Wholesale is using data and analytics to be innovative in regard to coming up with new ideas to engage customers and craft customer experiences
– How Costco is using data and analytics for customer segmentation and measuring customer engagement. What are the different customer attributes Costco gathers and how (from the customer or through external sources, etc.)
– How Costco is leveraging analytical capabilities in marketing and sales. Next month we’ll be meeting Monday, May 3rd at 12:00 PM CT, for a special LIVE session at UA Summit around “Enhancing Your Customer Experience with Analytics and Insights.” During this meeting, three utilities– Tacoma Public Utilities, Exelon Utilities, and Consumers Energy – will share their customer experience analytics and insights to show how they are enhancing their customer experience, from developing a customer experience board and working group, journey mapping and customer segmentation to design thinking and voice of the customer.

2.) Continuous Improvement Survey – UAI Connect Member Engagement
