  Upcoming January (2022) Community Conversation

  Hello Customer Analytics Community Members,

  Happy New Year and I hope all is well! We are one week away from our January (2022) Customer Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, January 11th at 11:00 AM CT, we’ll be joined by Marco LaForest, Chief Customer Strategy Analytics at Hydro-Québec, who will be leading a discussion around, From an Idea to a Success: An Approach for Analytical Projects (Energy Theft). As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

  Session Description:

  During this session, Marco will present how from an idea Hydro-Québec was able to create a project that generated great profits and demonstrated the credibility and value of their analytical projects for the organization. This project involved researchers, data scientists, analysts, investigators and technicians. They are proud of this teamwork that has combined data science and process transformation for the benefit of customers.

  Marco Laforest, holder of two master’s degrees in administration (Canada and France) has been with Hydro-Quebec for more than 30 years. Initially, he worked in the IT field. Subsequently, he worked on several clients in customer services, collection, and the measurement operations center to take care of setting up the data collection platform. For the past 4 years, he has been responsible for the analytical strategy for the distributor. Marco is responsible for the implementation of analytical solutions. There are more than 15 applications now in use or in development to improve customer service and power grid reliability.
