Hi,
At FortisBC we began implementing the CIM model. Our primary need was for AMI electric reads and customer, premise, contract, meter, account etc data. The model provided a starting point for our build out of an analytics platform. At this point, however, the build out has been put on hold to see if there are any other better options.
Thanks,
Martin

Subject: Updating an Existing Data Schema – DS Community
Hello Data Science Members,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I posted this question to our Ask Your Network Community but also wanted to circulate here.
A member came to me this morning with an interesting question regarding Data Schema and I’m hoping some one can provide some insight. The question is listed below:
“Basically, we want to update an existing data schema that describes our 5 min SCADA data readings. The schema was “custom built” a while back to meet our own needs. One path to update it is to make some enhancement to it by adding new attributes or properties. Another path is to adopt an industrial schema or standard but I just don’t know what are the good options out there.”
Has anyone done work in this area that may have good insight?
Thanks for your help!
