February 2021 Data Science Meeting Follow Up + What’s Next
Hello Data Science Community Members,
Thank you to everyone who attended our Data Science meeting last Tuesday! For those unable to attend, we were joined by Alex Elder, Data Scientist at The Energy Authority (TEA) who led a discussion on, “Estimating Electricity-Elasticity of Gross Regional Product in the United States.” During our meeting, Alex discussed how utilities can measure the effects of regulation and technological change on electricity demand with county-level granularity. With the input of several other attendees, we had a great discussion on how publicly available data can be incorporated into decision processes for individual utilities.
For anyone that was unable to attend, you can catch up with a full recording and slide deck HERE. If you haven’t taken our post meeting evaluation survey, please take a minute and complete HERE.
