  Upcoming April (2022) Community Conversation

  Hello Data Science Community Members,

  I hope all is well! We are one week away from our April (2022) Data Science Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, April 19th at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Jason Pegg, Domain Architect at Avista, who will be leading a discussion around, “Building ML Models Using Amazon Sagemaker.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

  Session Description:

  Join us for a look at Amazon’s SageMaker – a machine learning environment that puts preparing, building, training, and deploying machine learning models into the hands of everyday data scientists. Jason will introduce us to the toolset, demonstrate functionality, and discuss ways SageMaker can be used to tackle a variety of energy industry use cases.

  Jason Pegg is Domain Architect over Data Delivery, Systems Integration, and Energy Resources at Avista Utilities.  Jason’s background is in complex systems design and integration and brings with him 25 years of industry experience.  Jason holds degrees in Computer Science with emphasis in Math, Physics, and Machine Learning.
