  Upcoming October (2022) Community Conversation

  Hello Data Science Community Members,

  I hope all is well! We are one week away from our October (2022) Data Science Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, October 11th at 1:00 PM CT we’ll be joined by Katina Fischer, BI Data Engineer at Clark Public Utilities who will be leading a presentation with Q&A and open discussion around, “Tools of Data Governance – The Data Catalog.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

  Session Description:

  In this session we will discuss Metadata Management, what a data catalog is and where it fits within the overall structure of a data management/governance program. We will take a look at the key features of a data catalog, what typical data management issues they help address and what to keep in mind when choosing a solution platform.

  Katina Fischer is a BI Data Engineer for Clark Public Utilities. She and her team are focused on leading the organizations’ efforts in Data Engineering, Data Analytics and Data Governance.  She has a passion for bringing data-driven solutions to life, helping people make informed and confident decisions utilizing their data in new and innovative ways.
