    Hello Enterprise Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! We have a very exciting Community Conversation planned this month and hope you all can join us. On Thursday, February 25 at 1:00 PM CST, we will be having a special “Solve My Problem” session where community members will collaborate on solutions and/or action plans to solve 2 key “problems” brought about during our kickoff meeting and “Getting to Know You” survey. Special thanks to our Community Leadership Team for facilitating and our members for providing their input. Learn more about this session and our facilitators below and see how you can best prepare!

    Session Description:

The “Solve My Problem” session will be delivered in a way that will encourage partnered collaboration between members to come up with solutions and/or action plans to help members solve real-time “problems”. During conversations about the “problems”, we encourage members to showcase their successes, share experiences and lessons learned, and gain valuable insights from the supportive and knowledgeable group of peers meeting during this Community Conversation. We encourage open, interactive dialogue throughout the exercise to create a vibrant and collaborative environment, and to ensure everyone in attendance receives an opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas.

Come prepared to discuss the following “problems” during the Enterprise Analytics Community “Solve My Problem” exercise!

    • Problem #1 – Facilitated by Eddy Halter, Evergy and Feltrin Davis, BGE/Exelon: What are your utilities practices for improving data quality, data validation, and data accessibility?
    • Problem #2 – Facilitated by Angela White-Parker, SoCalGas and David Jost, Alliant Energy: How is your utility monetizing data internally? What does your internal data monetization strategy look like? Can you share examples of internal data monetization? A simplified example for internal data monetization: You complete a project and save your company $1 million. In essence, you are monetizing data internally.

    Facilitators:

Eddy Halter: Sr. Director, Enterprise Analytics – Evergy

Feltrin Davis: Sr. Manager, Advanced Analytics – Exelon Utilities

    Angela White-Parker: Enterprise Information Architect – SoCalGas & SDG&E

Dave Jost: Director, Enterprise Analytics – Alliant Energy

    Hello Ben and Jaydeep,

We’re taking some significant steps in maturing our Data & Analytics program. The intake/prioritization process is an area that will be revisited. Is there an opportunity for us to hear about your intake process as well?

When we originally started out with analytics we prioritized our use cases using a consulting firms proprietary optimizer. As time went on we have been able to handle our analytics use cases almost as they come. Our staff have been able to keep up with the pace. Going forward, we expect that pace to ick up rapidly. I am curious how organizations are prioritizing their use cases. I am looking at Gartner’s ROAR process. I am curious as to what other organizations are using.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread and it looks like there is quite a bit of interest in this topic from the Enterprise Analytics Community. I love to see excitement and passion around a topic, so I’ll work with the Community leadership team to plan this discussion for the March Community Conversation. Please keep sharing on this thread as it will help align the focus for the session.
    Thanks!

    Hello Enterprise Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! A few weeks ago I had posted about an AMI/MDM survey I’m working to complete with Santee Cooper and we’ve already been seeing some great feedback. To best help Santee Cooper in this area I’m hoping we can get several others to complete and I’m turning to this community for your help. If you or a colleague has any experience working with AMI/MDM we’d be very interested in hearing from you on our short survey. Both utility and vendor members are welcome!

For utility members, please use following link:

    Hello Enterprise Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! I’m currently working with a member from Santee Cooper who is interested in hearing from utilities & vendors on their experiences with AMI/MDM. With several members having experience implementing AMI and MDM I wanted to circulate within this community and gather any input.

Debbie from Santee Cooper put together a quick survey both utility and vendor members can take. It would be a huge help if you can take a few minutes to complete the survey below, Debbie is even happy to share any results with you and your teams!

Subject: Upcoming February 25th Enterprise Analytics Community Conversation
