I hope all is well! We are one week away from our April (2022) Enterprise Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Thursday, April 28 at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Stefan Buettner, Director of Global Strategy and Impact from the University of Stuttgart, Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP), who will be leading a discussion around, “Are We Ready? – Pathways to Net-Zero.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

Session Description:

With the increasing societal expectations and the current international situation heightening the urgency of the energy transition, the pressure is rising for companies to decarbonize. Thus, besides the reasons for decarbonization, this presentation will address companies’ reactions, their intentions as well as specific strategies and methods for reaching net-zero.

Speaker: Stefan Buettner, Director of Global Strategy and Impact (University of Stuttgart, Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP))

Stefan Buettner (@StefanMBuettner) is Director Global Strategy & Impact at the Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP) and chairs the UN ECE Task Force on Industrial Energy Efficiency, as well as the UN ECE Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency. As initiator of the Energy Efficiency Barometer of Industry (#EEBarometer) and project lead of the Energy Efficiency Index of German Industry (#EEIndex), he facilitates demand-side informed efficiency action. He also coordinates the joint activities of EEP and the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA to decarbonise industry. Mr Buettner is working on multinational committees, such as the Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group (EEFIG), the UN ECE Committee on Sustainable Energy, the UN ECE Task Force on Carbon Neutrality and as former coordinator of the G20 Energy Efficiency Task Groups on Industry and Finance on ‘strategies to unleash energy productivity and decarbonisation potentials of industry’. In these, he has delivered over 100 speeches in 30+ countries.
