Upcoming May (2022) Community Conversation
Hello Enterprise Analytics Community Members,
I hope all is well! We are one week away from our May (2022) Enterprise Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Thursday, May 26 at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Kevin Cracknell, Principal Consultant and Daniel Pike, Principal Consultant from DNV who will be leading a discussion around, “Best Practices and Lessons Learned in Validating Large AMI Datasets.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.
Learn more about this session and our speaker below!
Session Description:
Deployments of large-scale advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) are now the norm. The promise of AMI is that high-frequency consumption information is now available for advanced analytics, but in order to ensure quality results the data must be validated. This session looks at the best practices in interval data validation and some of the lessons learned in ensuring quality data.
Speaker: Kevin Cracknell, Principal Consultant (DNV)
Mr. Cracknell has over 15 years’ experience in sampling design and expansion for energy efficiency program evaluation and load research applications supporting utilities. He has provided analysis for a variety of projects, including program evaluation, demand response, load research, cost of service evaluation, and voltage regulation studies. He has extensive expertise in model-based sample design, data management, Validation, Editing, and Estimation (VEE) of large datasets, and results extrapolation.Speaker: Daniel Pike, Principal Consultant (DNV)
Mr. Pike has over 10 years’ experience in the load research industry. He has become an expert is managing and handling interval data for load research and ad hoc analytics, including end-use data development, impact evaluations, demand response, and more. He is also the lead developer in DNV’s SAS-based LRS software, which implements many modern techniques in load research including model-based sample design and stratification, Validation, Editing, and Estimation (VEE), sample expansions, special analyses, and reporting. He has extensive work in data cleansing and validation, working on multiple AMI systems currently utilized in the industry.
