  Energy Hackathon for free

  The 2023 SAS Hackathon is different than most hackathons in that you and team bring your own data/use case and SAS provides access to a cloud analytics environment which includes: sas viya, open source (python and R), and industry standard APIs (REST, JAVA, Python) for your team to use/hack on your problem for a month at no charge.  The event is open for registration through the end of February for teams (2 to 12 members) or for individuals.   

  • Prove out the value of analytics on your own use case
    • No install or environment support from you or your organization 
  • Keep the IP and insights you develop/derive
  • Decide whether to create a short summary video at the end to be judged by energy experts
  • Teams and individuals all get access to a free learning/enablement environment for 120 days 
    • Regardless of whether they are officially approved to participate
    • Teams can recruit individuals from around the world
    • Individuals can let teams across all industries know of their interest to join a team to help hack on their use case
