    Hello Enterprise Analytics Community Members,

    I hope all is well! With September just kicking off, I wanted to reach out and get you excited for our September (2023) Enterprise Analytics Community Conversation. On Thursday, September 28 at 1:00 PM CT we’ll be joined by the following speakers who will be leading a panel discussion around, “Enabling Enterprise Analytics: Navigating the Path to Effective Data Governance

    Kelly Laurie, Director-Information Technology – City Utilities of Springfield

    Joseph Katon, Manager, Customer Program Analytics – Duke Energy

    I hope all is well! We are one week away from our September (2023) Enterprise Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Thursday, September 28 at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by the following speakers who will be leading part 2 of our Data Governance Series around, “Enabling Enterprise Analytics: Navigating the Path to Effective Data Governance.”

    Speaker: Hannah Ball, Analytics Solutions Architect (Tacoma Power)

    Hannah Ball is a Data Architect at Tacoma Public Utilities where she focuses on fostering data literacy, refining data governance, and building connections between people and data. Key projects during her tenure include the implementation of a comprehensive data catalog, devising governance protocols within the data lake ecosystem, and introducing a mentoring initiative aimed at enhancing analyst skills across the organization. 

    Speaker: Kelly Laurie, Director-Information Technology (City Utilities of Springfield)

    Kelly Laurie serves as the Director of Information Technology at City Utilities of Springfield and has been with the company for 31 years. His current responsibilities include IT infrastructure, Cyber Security, Applications Development, Desktop Support, Voice Over IP, Business Intelligence, Geographical Information Systems. Kelly has a BS in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State University and Master of Business Administration from Drury University. 

    Speaker: Joseph Katon, Manager, Customer Program Analytics (Duke Energy)

    Joseph Katon serves as the Manager, Customer Program Analytics at Duke Energy where he manages Duke Energy’s products & services, advanced analytics, business side analytics org, regulated account program query & data governance, and is also a corporate enterprise SAS owner. Joseph is originally from South Florida but currently lives outside Charlotte, NC.
