  It’s So Easy!……. To Complete the High Value Analytics Use Case Collection Form

  Hello EAC Members,

  Per a discussion during the December 2021 UAI Executive Advisory Council (EAC) meeting, we are creating a 2022 High Value Analytics Use Case Library.

  Please complete the High Value Analytics Use Case Collection form to add to this library. It should only take a few minutes to complete!  Find the form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CY8NMVF.

  The library will be a collection of UAI Utility Members’ use cases that hold a high value within your utility. In other words, what analytics use cases are you focusing on and investing in to get the best ROI and that purposely give impact for the business? This High Value Analytics Use Case Library was request by UAI’s Executive Advisory Council. In order to build this library, we need to collect our members’ high value use cases. Please complete our form to submit your high value analytics use cases. The high value analytics use case form is for collecting information about planned, underway, or complete high value analytics use cases. It is a super easy form to complete and submit…let me show you an example!

  The following images are an example of how to fill out the High Value Use Case form. A big shoutout to @Nadia for submitting this El Paso Electric Company use case to the library!

  • From this example, you can see that you need to enter a name for the use case, a short description – Nadia did a perfect job explaining the use case in one sentence – and then answer a few more short questions.
  • Question 4 provides a list of answers to choose from. 
  • Question 5 and Question 6 require you to type in your answer.
  • Question 7 is a list of dropdown answers.
  • Question 8 you input the FTE and number of months this use case was being explored. If you don’t know the exact FTE or months, put in your best guess!
  • Q9, which is cut off, is the last question and is a simple yes/no question about whether your utility is open to sharing any algorithms related to the use case. You can select not applicable if appropriate.

  That’s the whole survey! It really is that easy and will only take a few minutes of your time, so please follow Nadia’s lead and submit your high value use cases!
