    Hello UAI EAC Members,

We look forward to seeing you next week in San Diego for UA Week! I wish everyone safe travels!

Next week on Tuesday, October 18, we will host the UAI Executive Advisory Council (EAC) meeting from 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM PT. This meeting will be located in the event venue, DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego – Mission Valley, in the meeting room called “Shutters East II“. My colleague, @Kevin, will be sending you an updated calendar invite, so you have the meeting location and the agenda for this EAC meeting at your fingertips. If you need to reach me, @Leslie, once onsite, please call or text my cell phone at 719-203-8650.

During this meeting, we will follow the below agenda:

    • Welcome and UAI Calls to Action
    • Introduce and celebrate our UAI Excellence Award Finalists
    • Discuss the timing of our EAC dinner at future UAI events – Does the Day/Time work for the majority of EAC members?
    • Utility Analytics Job Descriptions Workshop – Please find more about this workshop below and attached. If you read through the attached document prior to the meeting, you will be more prepared for the exercise and ready to jump right in during the meeting. Thank you!

Tabletop Exercise – October 18 during EAC Meeting
    UTILITY ANALYTICS JOB DESCRIPTIONS

    WORKSHOP DIRECTIONS:

    • Break into seven (7) groups
    • A role has been specifically identified for your table. You are only working with that one specific role.
    • Each group to take 10 minutes to discuss, identify, and document the definition of the role at your table. A few examples may already be included on your worksheet. During this portion, you may also want to identify similar titles for the same role.
    • Each group to take 20 minutes to discuss, identify, and document the important functions that need to be accomplished within the role at your table. A few examples may already be included on your worksheet.
    • We will then take 60 minutes (8 minutes per group) to go around the room and have each table discuss the definition and functions for the role at your table.
    • Each group to pass forward all notes taken during the tabletop exercise. The UAI Job Descriptions Sub-committee will capture the definitions and functions you identified for each role and continue this important work on Job Descriptions.

    See you in San Diego!

    Thanks!

         Leslie
