        • Please participate in this valuable project being led by the UAI Safety Analytics Community leadership team!
        • What is the problem we are trying to solve? Recordable Incident Rate (RIR) is easy to track, but it has flaws. We are looking for a better alternative to help track SIF and/or PSIF. We want to find a better way to measure safety performance that is a better indicator of SIF and PSIF. We think the alternative is the EEI SCL definition, but we want to explore options with the member of the Safety Analytics Community.
        • Take the poll today! Go to http://www.menti.com and use code: 3956 2121
      • ACTION ITEM: Driving Value for Community Conversations
        • We need your help and input to drive value for UAI Communities! It is time to refill the topic bucket for the following Communities and help prioritize topics of discussion for future Community Conversations! Our Communities Conversations are better when we get your input, and you help identify valuable, timely, and relevant use cases and topics of discussions for our meetings! PLEASE HELP US DRIVE VALUE! We only do this exercise about every 2 years and the surveys should not take you more than 10 minutes to complete.
        • Please take the following polls:
    • 2023 Sub-Committees
    • Introduction to New UAI Sr. Research Analyst, @Sandi
      • Sandi introduced herself, plus asked “How can I bring value to UAI content and research?”
      • Things shared by the EAC members:

        • Researching ML analytics platforms and comparing AWS to other tools in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Summarize the comparisons to socialize within the company. Need a sustainable tool
        • We Are looking into enterprise data science/advanced analytics platforms and would be interested in learning where others are in the process and what are the learnings
        • Possibly bring back the Brand Survey
    • EAC Discussion: 2023 and Beyond – Latest Utility Analytics Challenges, Industry Trends, Hot Topics
      • ACTION ITEM: Continue to submit your latest utility analytics challenges, industry trends, and hot topics to add to the below list! You can reply to this discussion thread or send to @Leslie at lcook@utilityanalytics.com
      • Generative AI (example: ChatGPT)
        • Here’s an article about why Amazon isn’t allowing employees to use ChatGPT: Don’t Chat With ChatGPT: Amazon’s Warning To Employees | by Liquid Ocelot | InkWater Atlas | Jan, 2023 | Medium
        • Research around security of using ChatGPT
        • ChatGPT, potential project proposal… what if we created a utility based ChatGPT environment that we share across utilities. This would allow us to leverage the tool in a specific domain that we can control, may address security/proprietary issues, and allow us to leverage our common industry knowledge. Wants to use for code reviews, automation. Wants to maximize it, but utility has shut it down.
      • Resource (Generation Fleet) Evolution
        • Movement towards renewables
        • What does this mean for future reliability, resource demand
      • FERC 881
        • Requires utilities to report transmission line ratings
        • Working with transmission line providers.
        • How do we govern this and the quality?
        • Do you migrate this data into the cloud?
        • There was a question about tags around this topic
      • Impact of EPA policies and carbon emissions (also at state level environmental policies, not just federal)
        • Federal and state are different policies
        • How do you calculate the emission rate? Heat of generation unit or is it different? Common understanding
        • How do you manage the risks?
        • Seems big enough for us all to have conversations – may need a separate panel to dig deeper on this BIG topic
      • Cloud Computing Speeds
        • Rate Studies, other studies where we transfer data through the cloud.
        • What are other utilities doing to transfer data?
    • Sneak Peak at April 3 EAC Meeting Agenda
      • AMA Review
      • UAI Members via MapSearch
      • Job Description Sub-Committee Update
      • Live Action Polling: Future Training Opportunities
