  Taking Action Together: Important Follow-Up from the June 28 Meeting

  Dear UAI EAC Members,

  I hope you are well. I hope to inspire you to take action on the important items discussed during our June 28, 2023 Executive Advisory Council (EAC) meeting. I wanted to remind you of the “ACTION ITEMS” and encourage your active participation in driving these initiatives forward:

  1. **SAB SWOT Analysis**: The Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) performed a collaborative SWOT Analysis of UAI during their June 27, 2023 meeting. The findings from this analysis are crucial for our strategic planning efforts in 2024 and future EAC and SAB discussions. If you have any additional Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, or Threats to share about UAI, please send them to @Leslie at lcook@utilityanalytics.com. The current results of the SWOT Analysis are below and attached. 
  2. **EAC Discussion and Live Action Polling**: We had engaging discussions on Generative AI and Algorithm Alley during the meeting.
     • If you haven’t participated in the EAC poll yet about Generative AI and Algorithm Alley, you still have 14 days to do so. Visit the following link to participate: https://www.menti.com/alrwm18qv8hs. 
     • Don’t forget to check out Algorithm Alley and share it with your data scientists: https://connect.utilityanalytics.com/collaborate/algorithm-alley. 
  3. **UAI Updates/Calls to Action**: There are several important updates and calls to action that require your attention and involvement:
     • Save the date for UA Week 2023, taking place from October 31 to November 2 in Orlando, FL. Register now at https://www.utilityanalyticsweek.com/2023. UAI Utility Members get 3 complimentary passes to UA Week + a 20% discount on additional registrations. Who is using your free passes? 
     • Take advantage of the UAI Training opportunities starting this Fall. Learn more and register at https://training.utilityanalytics.com/.
     • We are actively seeking Community Sponsors and Leaders in various areas. If anyone on your team is interested, refer them to @Leslie
     • We’re also looking for members to join the 2023 Sub-Committees. Submit your interest through https://uaievents.wufoo.com/forms/call-for-2023-subcommittee-members/. 
     • Community Conversation Presentations: If you’re interested in sharing an analytics use case you are working on or have worked on during a UAI Community Conversation, reach out to @Leslie at lcook@utilityanalytics.com. We are working on the Q4 2023 and Q2 2024 Community programs now and would love to chat with you about presenting. 

  Let’s harness the energy and commitment we shared during the meeting and take concrete steps towards achieving our goals. Each one of you plays a vital role in shaping the future of UAI. Together, we can make a meaningful impact. Stay motivated, stay engaged, and let’s continue to drive positive change.
