    Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,

    I hope all is well! We have a very exciting Community Conversation planned for this month and hope you all can join us. On Wednesday, February 17th at 1:00 PM CST, we’ll be joined by Community Sponsor Brad Steere, Director Operations Analytics at Consumers Energy, and his presentation, “Leveraging predictive analytics on unplanned outages at Consumers Energy.” During the meeting Brad will be discussing a Consumers Energy project that is developing a wire down predictive model that provides two beneficial outcomes:

    1. Improve our activation and response to outages (Reduce CAIDI)
    2. Optimize our infrastructure investment to minimize emergent outages (repair/replace before failure)

    Brad Steere is the Director Operations Analytics at Consumers Energy where he is responsible for advancing their data driven culture. Enabling Operational Excellence through the development and delivery of advanced analytics and visual management. Brad has been with Consumers Energy for 19 years.  Throughout his career he has led analytics, operations, and performance coaching teams. In each of his roles, Brad ensured that problem solving, and decision making were rooted in using sound data practices. Brad is a husband and proud father of 2 young women and loves watching them chase their dreams.
