    Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,

    Thank you to everyone who attended our Grid Analytics meeting earlier in the month, it was great to reconnect! For those unable to attend, we were joined by Daniel Burgess, Senior Analyst, and Mike Diedesch, PE, Manager Grid Innovation Lab at Avista Corporation who led a presentation on, Avista Energy Innovation Lab.

    1.) Next meeting Wednesday, July 21st at 1:00 PM CT

    Next month we’ll be meeting Wednesday, July 21st at 1:00 PM CT for a discussion around BGE Pole Analytics: Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive with Jordan Pino, Sr. Data Scientist, Smart Grid & Innovation at Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE/Exelon Utilities).

    2.) Take the IoT and Edge Computing Survey

    We are collecting data for our new IoT and Edge Computing research project! Please help us by taking a 7-question survey and enter your name into the raffle to a $50 Amazon gift card. The survey questions include:

    – What are the primary motivations for utility’s adoption of distribution grid analytics?

    – Please indicate where your utility stands in using data from IoT devices to feed analytics for distribution planning, maintenance, and/or operations.

    – What use cases for grid analytics will provide the most value for utilities?

    – Please indicate where your utility stands in using edge computing for each asset as part of an analytics strategy.

    3.) UAI Excellence Awards 2021 – Nominations due June 30!
