    Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,

    Thanks for attending the October 13, 2021 Grid Analytics Community Conversation which took place both in person and virtually at UA Week 2021. For those unable to attend, we missed you and look forward to seeing you in December. During this Community Conversation, we were joined by Community Sponsor Amin Tayyebi, Data Science Manager at Exelon Utilities, who led a discussion around, Improve Fault Location Accuracy for Historical Electrical Outage.

    1. Understanding and Operationalizing Artificial Intellegence Survey

      • We have launched a new survey to understand how utilities are currently using artificial intelligence and the main challenges to operationalizing it. The survey inquires about AI use cases, data strategies, technology strategies, data ethics and governance strategies, and organizational culture.
      • If you have an understanding of your utility’s approach to these initiatives, please take this 5-minute survey! If you are not the right person for this survey, please forward the link to a colleague who is familiar with these initiatives.  
      • We hope to deliver the results to our members in the form of a report by the end of the year, so help us out and take the survey!
    2. Utility Analytics 101 Training is Here! 
      • Website URL: https://training.utilityanalytics.com/
      • UAI has partnered with The University of Oklahoma, Data Science and Analytics Institute to develop and deliver training and certification in analytics topics in the utilities sector. We could not be more excited to bring this new offering to the industry!
      • Register for public classroom, virtual classroom and private group training options.
      • The training will provide a Certificate of Participation and Completion and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through the University of Oklahoma.
    3. UA Week – Join us virtually this December!
