    Hi @Jordan,

I hope you are well. I noticed that your question within the Grid Analytics Community has gone unanswered, so I am replying to bring it back up to the top. I hope this message will prompt someone in this community to reply. I also encourage you to post it in the Ask Your Network community, which goes to over 2700 UAI Members vs the Grid Analytics Community with 161 members.

Here is Jordan’s original question: At BGE, some colleagues and myself are investigating an idea of installing tension monitoring devices on circuits. This would act to alert either Distribution Automation & Technology and/or Reliability units of potential faults (trees leaning on wires, animals, and so on). Once they get an alert, those circuits can be opened and crews can be sent immediately. Obviously we have DA equipment but sometimes even those can fail to operate at times. Does this exist? Has anyone investigated this before?

    Thanks Jordan and Happy Holidays!

    Cheers,

         Leslie
