Upcoming May (2022) Community Conversation
Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,
I hope all is well! We are one week away from our May (2022) Grid Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, May 18 at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by CJ Myers, Manager of Metering & Cable Services at Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC) who will be leading a discussion around, “Using AMI Data to Improve System Voltage Levels for Today’s Utilities.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.
Learn more about this session and our speaker below!
Session Description:
Power quality is an especially important aspect of cooperative service with today’s modern distribution loads. Fluctuations and disturbances that previously went unnoticed, have more impact today, but can easily be detected using AMI. See how Delaware Electric Cooperative is using Descriptive Analytics and system visualization with AMI collected voltage data to easily identify where these are most problematic in the distribution system to quickly prioritize and resolve issues. Attendees will also hear real-world findings and lessons learned from Delaware Electric Cooperative on how they’ve used AMI data to optimize system voltage levels.
Speaker: CJ Myers, Manager of Metering & Cable Services (Delaware Electric Cooperative)
CJ Myers has been with Delaware Electric Cooperative for the past 6 years and is currently the manager of metering and cable services. Before that he was the system protection engineer at the cooperative and a field engineer with Shermco Industries. He is a Penn State graduate with a degree in Energy Engineering.
