Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! We are just under one week away from our June (2022) Grid Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, June 15th at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by @Jordan, Data Science Manager at Entergy who will be leading a discussion around,“Transformer Failure Analytics: Lessons Learned and Future Path.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

Session Description:

Applying analytics to transformer failures and improving daily operations and spend is of great importance to most utilities. This not only has the potential to save money but also improve customer reliability and satisfaction. This presentation will step through Entergy’s journey in this space and explore how we’ve evolved and learned from ourselves and other utilities. In addition, the presentation will explore our path forward and discuss some critical lessons learned.

Speaker: Jordan Pino, Data Science Manager (Entergy)

Jordan Pino is currently Manager – Data Science at Entergy where he works within the Business Data & Insights group. Specifically, Jordan manages a team of Data Scientists who develop advanced analytical solutions to improve business functions across all divisions. He works to establish, monitor, report, and continually improve work processes to enhance analytics capabilities at Entergy. Jordan’s past work focused heavily on advanced analytics for Baltimore Gas & Electric (BG&E), American Electric Power (AEP), FirstEnergy, and Southern Company. He is highly skilled in machine learning, data mining, big data, and data visualization.
