  Upcoming January (2023) Community Conversation

  Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,

  I hope all is well! We are one week away from our January (2023) Grid Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, January 18 at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Susan Quinn, Principal Engineer, Operations Analytics at Evergy who will be leading a discussion around, “Storm Outage Predictions.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

  Session Description:

  Evergy has partnered with E Source to build a Storm Outage Prediction application that allows distribution operations to better plan for events up to 72 hours prior to happening. This session will describe the process leading up to modeling and demo the tool. Depending on the forecast, the demo may be really exciting or just another blue sky. Either way, we hope you’ll find it interesting and informative.

  Susan Quinn is a proud member of the Topeka Kansas community, born and raised in Emporia, Kansas. She studied at Emporia State University and Kansas State University. She enjoys helping others in her community through volunteering and her work as an engineer.
