Hello Grid Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! We are one week away from our May (2023) Grid Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, May 17 at 1:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Abdul-Rahman Mohammed, Director Data Analytics at MISO who will be leading a discussion around, “Role of Data & Analytics in Maintaining Grid Reliability.” As this discussion will be interactive we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

Session Description:

During this session, Abdul will talk about MISO’s role as a RTO/ISO, core services they provide and strategic direction, the changing landscape and problems they face, the focus on role of outages in maintaining reliability, and aexample use cases (outages) of analytics today and analytical questions for tomorrow. 

Speaker: Abdul-Rahman Mohammed, Director Data Analytics (MISO)

Abdul Mohammed, Director of Data Analytics and Decision Services, leads MISO’s governance and analytics transformation efforts. Abdul has held several positions at MISO over the last 11 years in Operations, Compliance, System Planning and Process Improvement. Prior to joining MISO, he spent time at AEP and COMED on projects in Engineering and Generation. He has a master’s in electrical engineering and Executive Leadership Program Certificate in Applied Analytics and AI from MIT.
