Hello Natural Gas Analytics Community Members,

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our discussion on,“Insights to Action – How Customer Feedback Built the CX Roadmap.” For those unable to attend, we were joined by Hanna Balla (Director of Customer Experience at NiSource) and Carrie Mokros (Manager, Customer Insights at NiSource) who discussed how NiSource is using customer feedback to build out their strategic customer experience roadmap.

Please find a recording and copy of the presentation in our library page HERE.

Next month we will be meeting Wednesday, November 18 at 2:30 – 4:00 pm CT for a special 90-minute session on “Burning Questions: All the Questions You Thought You Needed to Ask + More!” This session will be part of Utility Analytics Week which again is 100% complimentary for members this year (Using code MEMBER20).

Please find more info on this session below and let me know ASAP if you do not have a calendar placeholder.

    Session Description:

Join the UAI Natural Gas Analytics Community for a speed round of Q&A. All “burning questions” submitted for this session are from Natural Gas Analytics Community members who want to learn more about each question from their fellow members and peers. The Natural Gas Analytics Community Sponsors and Leaders will facilitate this session, discussing their knowledge and sharing information regarding these questions, and encouraging collaboration from attendees to help you learn from each other. Burning questions include:

      • What are your practices regarding natural gas analytics storage and how do you optimize pipeline/storage assets?
      • How do you handle Asset integrity-based analytics outside of risk modeling?
      • How are you using natural language processing to analyze written text comments to get value from them?
      • How are you identifying gas leaks using data, and even better, how are you predicting gas leaks using data?
      • How do you make the shift from descriptive operational metrics to more predictive & prescriptive analytics?
      • What are your recommendations to help grow the maturity of leadership’s view of analytics?
      • When does is make sense to insource analytics vs outsource analytics?
      • What is the proper place of advanced data analytics in the mix of asset management tools?

Facilitator: David Baron, Director of Performance Management & Organizational Strategy – SoCalGas

    Presenters/Panelists:

    • Zac Lowe, Director, Pipeline Safety Management – Southern Company Gas
    • Catherine McCowan, Integrity and Asset Management Governance – Enbridge
