Teams Technical Issues for June 16 Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation
Hello Natural Gas Analytics Community Members,
It has been reported to me by some members that a technical issue prevented them from joining today’s, June 16, 2021, UAI Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation. These members reported that they tried to join Teams for the session and it would continually kick them off the platform. If you experienced this technical issue today, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We have a wonderful recording of today’s presentation with some good Q&A from the few members that were able to get into the meeting.
I have a couple of requests from you, as follows:
1) If you experience this technical issue, can you please either reply to this message reporting it or send me an email directly at lcook@utilityanalytics.com?
2) Would you be interested in us bringing this session back around in the Fall during a future Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation? Please either reply to this message with a “yes” or “no” or send me an email directly at lcook@utilityanalytics.com?
The session was as follows:
We were joined by Rachel Mattix, Sr. Data Performance Analyst at Duke Energy and Brian Wilkerson, Sr. Manager, AI Solutions at Duke Energy, who led a presentation on Build or Buy? Reducing Damages Using Internal AI.
Session Description:
Duke Energy designed and implemented an 811-ticket risk ranking model as part of a partnership between the Natural Gas Business Unit and the MADLab. At the time, this service was being provided by a third-party vendor in Ohio and Kentucky, but the business chose to build internally for North Carolina. Rachel and Brian will walk you through the challenges and successes of their citizen data science partnership, from user-centric MVP to implementation and iteration in less than a year.Thank you!
