I hope all is well! We are just under one week away from our August Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, August 18 at 11:00 AM CT we’ll be joined by Venkat Veeramachaneni, Sr. Architect at Southern Company, who will be leading a presentation around, A Predictive Model: Gas Leak Volumes. As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and to be ready to share your insights.

I hope all is well! With August just kicking off, I wanted to reach out and get you excited for our August (2021) Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation, taking place Wednesday August 18 at 11:00 AM CT. Though we are still finalizing a few things on this session, we will be providing an official update (speaker info, session details, etc.) one week prior. As a reminder you can always stay up to date on future Community Conversations on our Events Page HERE.

Our latest IT update allows me to send meeting placeholders directly to your calendars through my alternate email address kpraet@sg.utilityanalytics.com. In reply to my previous message,I wanted to share a full session description as well as some more info on our speaker, Venkat Veeramachaneni, to get you excited about next week! See below to learn more and as always let us know if you have any questions:

Session Description:

During this session, Venkat will review a data analytics use case leveraging data analytics capabilities to improve the resource management efficiency and effectives with Gas leak and emergency call volume predictions based on historical leaks and calls by leak grade in a certain geography, weather, asset materials, age and time.

(Speaker) – Venkat Veeramachaneni – Supervisor, IT (Gas Architecture & Data Analytics) at Nicor Gas (Southern Company)

Venkat is responsible for Gas Architecture, Data Management & Analytics, and Reporting at Nicor Gas (Southern Company). He joined Nicor Gas in 2004 and has worked in various roles in Technology Organization involving App. Dev and support, ITIL implementation, application/data integration, architecture, and management. He also led data integration teams in Food & Beverage Supply Chain & Logistics domains and implemented modern data architectures.
