    Hello Natural Gas Analytics Community Members,

    I hope all is well! With June just kicking off, I wanted to reach out and get you excited for our June (2022) Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation. On Wednesday, June 15th at 11:00 AM CT, we’ll be joined by the following leadership team members who will be leading a discussion around, “Organizational Structure and How it Affects Analytics Maturity”

    I hope all is well! We are just under one week away from our June (2022) Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, June 15th at 11:00 AM CT, we’ll be joined by the following leadership team members who will be leading a roundtable themed discussion on, “Organizational Structure and How it Affects Analytics Maturity:”

    As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

    Session Description:

    During this roundtable, members of the Natural Gas Analytics Community will discuss how they organize their analytics team(s). Organizational structure makes a big impact on the things surrounding analytics and the evolution of analytics maturity. This session is not to focus on what the different current organizational structures are, but what is working and not working in each utility regarding organizational structure, lessons learned, and if each member got a chance to start from scratch regarding building their organizational structure, how would they do it differently, why is it good/bad and why does it work and why not.

    Speaker: David Baron, Director, Performance Management and Organizational Strategy (SoCalGas)


    David Baron
    has worked at SoCalGas since 2012, and his organization provides support to the rest of the company in Data Science, Process Improvement, Workforce Planning and Change Management.  Prior to SoCalGas, he spent many years leading a customer analytics consulting practice across multiple industries including Utilities.  He holds advanced degrees in Statistics, Operations Research and Business. 

    Speaker: Kaleb Thompson, Data Science Supervisor (ONE Gas)


    Kaleb Thompson
    is an analytics professional who has worked at ONE Gas for over six years in a variety of roles such as Data Engineer, Data Scientist and now supports the advanced analytics efforts at ONE Gas.

    Speaker: Miaad Safari, Technical Manager (Enbridge)


    Miaad Safari
    is an Integrity Engineer specializing in Risk and Reliability assessments. He is a strong advocate of enhancing integrity data analytics and the development of efficient and accurate risk and reliability models to gain a better understanding of the industry’s aging assets. After spending over a decade devoted to Pipeline Integrity at Enbridge Gas Inc., Miaad has developed an in-depth knowledge of integrity threat assessments, ILI technologies, fitness-for-service assessments, reliability models, and risk assessments.
