Hello Natural Gas Analytics Community Members,
I hope all is well! We are one week away from our August (2023) Natural Gas Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Wednesday, August 16 at 11:00 AM CT, we’ll be joined by Vincent Iacobellis, Sr. Integrity Assessments Engineer at Enbridge Gas Inc. who will be leading a discussion around, “Consequence Modeling for Natural Gas Pipeline Quantitative Risk Assessments.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.
Learn more about this session and our speaker below!
Session Description:
Consequence modeling involves the use of analytical methods to assess the outcomes after a failure has occurred by quantifying the impact of these outcomes on such categories as Health & Safety, Financial, Environmental, and Operational. This session will demonstrate the consequence estimation approach that is part of the Enbridge risk assessment for natural gas transmission pipelines. In particular, the session will focus on the detailed site-specific health and safety consequence calculations integrated into the societal and individual risk assessments along with the data integration and management supporting the models.
Speaker: Vincent Iacobellis, Sr. Integrity Assessments Engineer (Enbridge Gas Inc.)
Vincent is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) working on the Integrity Assessments team at Enbridge Gas Distribution since May 2021 where he specializes in the development of quantitative risk models, assessment of risk and structural reliability targets, and risk refinement and root causing.
