  February 2021 Safety Analytics Meeting Follow Up + What’s Next

  Hello Safety Analytics Community Members,

  Thank you to everyone who attended our Safety Analytics meeting on Tuesday! For those unable to attend, we were joined by Community Leader Kara Randle, Sr, Analyst at El Paso Electric, and Derek Grimes, Safety Manager at El Paso Electric, who presented on, “Transforming El Paso Electric’s Safety Culture Through Data Analytics.” During our meeting Kara and Derek shared insight into El Paso Electric’s safety culture, discussing wins, challenges, and lessons learned along the way. Further more, they shared Power BI visualizations and helped address several questions from our utility attendees.

  1.) Next meeting Tuesday, March 23:

  Next month we’ll be meeting Tuesday, March 23 at 2:00 PM CT for an interactive  “Solve My Problem” exercise. This exercise was created with your input during our January polling exercise and we’re excited to explore solutions to your biggest challenges. We’ll have more information on this session soon but you can always find out more information on our upcoming community conversations on our Events Calendar HERE.
  
  2.) Utility Analytics Summit
  
  Utility Analytics Summit (May 3 – 5) will be a 100% virtual event this year and is FREE for UAI members! To register, please visit the UA Summit website HERE and use code MEMBER21 when prompted. If you have any issues registering please reach out to me at kpraet@utilityanalytics.com. 

  3.) UAI Excellence Awards 2021 – Submit your nominations today!

  Have you or your team submitted a nomination for the UAI Excellence Awards? Our new award series honors the best in the utility analytics profession, recognizing the individuals, teams, and organizations that have achieved and maintained excellence through innovation. Submit us your nomination in one of six categories and be considered for a chance to win. All finalists receive one complimentary pass to award ceremony taking place at Utility Analytics Week 2021!
