Hello SafetyAnalytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! We are just under one week away from our August Safety Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, August 24 at 2:00 PM CT we have an exciting “Solve My Problem” exercise planned which will be facilitated by members of the Safety Analytics leadership team. See below to learn more about this session and come prepared ready to share your insight!

Session Description:

The “Solve My Problem” session will be delivered in a way that will encourage partnered collaboration between members to come up with solutions and/or action plans to help members solve real-time “problems”. During conversations about the “problems”, we encourage members to showcase their successes, share experiences and lessons learned, and gain valuable insights from the supportive and knowledgeable group of peers meeting during this Community Conversation. We encourage open, interactive dialogue throughout the exercise to create a vibrant and collaborative environment, and to ensure everyone in attendance receives an opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas.

Come prepared to discuss the following “problems” during the Safety Analytics Community “Solve My Problem” exercise!

• Problem #1: What natural language processing and other machine learning techniques are you using to pull sentiment, and other intangibles, from collected safety data? Also, what are you/your utility doing with analytic models revolving around safety?
• Problem #2: What asset specific safety projects are your working on at your utility, such as poles, transformers, etc.?
• Problem #3: How are you correlating leading indicators to safety incidents?

With August just kicking off, I wanted to reach out and get you excited for our August (2021) Safety Analytics Community Conversation, taking place Tuesday August 24 at 2:00 PM CT. Though we are still finalizing a few things on this session, we will be providing an official update (speaker info, session details, etc.) one week prior. As a reminder you can always stay up to date on future Community Conversations on our Events Page HERE.

Our latest IT update allows me to send meeting placeholders directly to your calendars through my alternate email address kpraet@sg.utilityanalytics.com. I sent out invitations for this community and each of our other communities this morning. If you did not receive a calendar invitation let me know so I can help troubleshoot. As this seems to be an issue with some of our members firewalls, we recommend whitelisting my new email address kpraet@sg.utilityanalytics.com to ensure any invites don’t go to your spam/junk folders.

Happy Friday! Our “Solve My Problem” session next week (Tuesday, Auguist 24th at 2:00 PM CT) is shaping out to be a great session and we cannot wait to connect! We just recieved an update on the “problem’s” being discussed and wanted to share to get you excited. Please see below:

Facilitated by the Exelon Utilities: 

• Problem #1: What natural language processing and other machine learning techniques are you using to pull sentiment, and other intangibles, from collected safety data? Also, what are you/your utility doing with analytic models revolving around safety?
• Problem #2: What asset specific safety projects are your working on at your utility, such as poles, transformers, etc.?
• Problem #3: How are you correlating leading indicators to safety incidents?

 

Facilitated by CPS Energy:

• Problem #4: How can analytics be used for the hierarchy of controls?
• Problem #5: What predictive analytics with available data are you working on at your utility? 
• Problem #6: Can anyone share examples of data models built around safety analytics? 

I’ll be sending out my final reminder Monday but wanted to share this update before the weekend. Please spread the word and let us know if we can get anyone else registered for this session/community.
