  Upcoming April (2022) Community Conversation

  Hello Safety Analytics Community Members,

  I hope all is well! We are one week away from our April (2022) Safety Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, April 26th at 2:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Brandon Cassidy, Industrial Hygiene Manager from Southern Company Gas who will be leading a discission around, “Injury Data Analysis to Justify the Implementation of an Occupational Functional Movement Program.”As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

  Session Description:
  
  With approximately 50% of OSHA recordable injuries being soft tissue injuries, companies cannot afford not to implement proactive programs designed to minimize musculoskeletal injuries. However, the upfront cost can seem burdensome, particularly when the program takes time to produce results. This presentation evaluates injury trends seen in the natural gas distribution industry and efforts taken through functional movement programs to proactively mitigate soft tissue injuries.

  Brandon Cassidy, M.S., MBA., CIH, is the Industrial Hygiene Manager of Southern Company Gas, the largest natural gas-only distribution company in the US.  Brandon is based out of Atlanta, Georgia and supports operations in Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, California and Texas.
