    Hello Safety Analytics Community Members,

I hope all is well! We are one week away from our September (2022) Safety Analytics Community Conversation and want to get you excited about the session taking place. On Tuesday, September 27 at 2:00 PM CT, we’ll be joined by Chris Stock, Electric Ops Safety Manager at Eversource and Jon Boggiano, Chief Innovation Officer at Everblue and Innovation Process Expert at Eversource who will be leading a discussion around, “Reimagining Safety: From Rote Paper Forms to Dynamic Digital Experiences.” As this discussion will be interactive, we encourage you to come prepared with questions and your insight.

Learn more about this session and our speakers below!

    Session Description:

During this session, learn how Eversource is transforming a basic safety tool, the Job Briefing, from a rote paper exercise into a dynamic digital experience. Come learn how following an Innovation/Design Thinking process has led to reimagining the field safety experience for Job Briefings. We aim to bring humanity to the basic form and in doing so promote engagement, improve safety, improve efficiency, and improve reporting. Learn how Eversource benefited from a cross-functional learning group to understand all of the stakeholders involved in job safety and the job briefing. Learn how Eversource evaluated 20+ technologies while prototyping on 3 different platforms before deciding on the most impactful solution. Learn how they plan to utilize the data that this new digital experience unlocks. Eversource started with a “How Might We…” exercise to see how we could make job briefings as serious as a pilot conducting pre-flight checks. We ended with transforming the job briefing from a rote, paper-based process to a dynamic, digitally interactive experience. We made disparate but relevant critical information quicker to access – all in an effort to make the field crew Job Briefing experience simpler, more human, and more engaging.

    Session Takeaways:
    – Learn dynamic forms can drive engagement and improve safety
    – Learn how innovation thinking can help yield better engagement and better technological implementations
    – Learn how digitizing the safety experience can facilitate better reporting
    – Learn how we can enhance safety by making critical information easier to access
    – Learn how Eversource plans to analyze the new streams of data generated by the digital job form experience
