  Safety Metrics Benchmarking Project

  Hello Safety Analytics Community Members,

  Thank you for being a part of the UAI Safety Analytics Community. As you know, the Safety Analytics Community meets monthly on a virtual basis via Teams to hold conversations about current and planned safety analytics initiatives, lessons learned, obstacles faced or anticipated, and achieved or desired results around safety analytics. The Safety Analytics Community’s aim is to reduce serious injury and fatality (SIF) exposures and energy hazards by improving data collection, sharing process and methods best practices, and by identifying leading prescriptive and descriptive analytics.

  We are especially excited for what’s coming in 2023! The Safety Analytics Community members will come together in December 2022 to get a head start on a benchmarking project. Do not miss the December 13, 2022 Safety Analytics Community Conversation to hear about and start this project!  Is your company dissatisfied with Recordable Incident Rate (RIR) as a measure of safety performance? Are you interested in a measure of potential serious injuries and fatalities (PSIF) that provides better clarity on the current safety risk to your organization? Is your safety team interested in benchmarking with other utilities on safety metrics other than RIR? If you answered yes to any of these questions, make sure you participate!  We will be working to address these issues in Q1 2023!
