Follow Up Questions for September Community Conversation + LIVE Networking Event at UA Week!
Hello Safety Analytics Community Members,
During our Safety Analytics Community Conversation on Tuesday, September 26, we had two members of the Safety Analytics Community Leadership Team, @Mary and @Tony present the SIF Survey Results from February. Towards the end of the presentation, we posed a couple of questions that we would like to hear your insights on. We would greatly appreciate it if you could review the questions below and help us by offering any responses, experiences or ideas you might be willing to share. You can simply post a reply to this message to share your answers. Thank you so much in advance for your time and thoughts.
- How can we share Event Notifications that we may be unsure of how to classify?
- Example, EPRI does a good job of facilitating event sharing for lessons learned.
- Southwest Electric Safety Exchange – SWESE does this
- Can we commit to uniformity? (Not over customizing for our own organizations)
- Can we hear from people with concerns about standardizing/committing to uniformity?
- We would need to conform if we want to benchmark
- How can we share how we’ve incorporated SCL systemically? (Or plan to)
- Should we have a show and tell of the different platforms that members are using?
- Avista uses ‘Intellects’ – database system for all things safety and health
- How can we leverage each other’s data to reduce SIF?
- The premise of this question is fortunately for all of us are few and far between. Trying to gather data on SIF or PSIF events are rare. To learn more about them we need more events. We could leverage data from all members which would help us leverage commonality to learn from each other. UAI has 165 operating utilities that are members. If we were able to gather data on SIF and PSIF events from each members, we could gain value from the collective!
- How can we, as UAI, support and leverage existing fountains of data?
- How can we leverage data to create leading indicators?
- How can we increase number of respondents next time around?
- Do you think this was a worthwhile exercise?
In addition, for those of you that will be at UA Week, Mary was kind enough to arrange an in-person networking event for Safety Analytics Community Members! If you’re interested in meeting up in-person at UA Week, we ask you complete our short RSVP form below.
