Continuing the Discussion on Last Week’s Roundtable – Data-Driven Asset Monitoring
Hello SAS Analytic Community Members + Roundtable Participants,
I hope all is well! Last week the SAS team led a roundtable around the topic, “Data-Driven Asset Monitoring: Unleashing Real-Time Preventative Maintenance Decisioning” and we had great participation all around. Though we were able to speak to most of the seed questions, there were a few questions we did not get to and I wanted to share below to get your thoughts and perspective. If you do not have an answer, but believe you have a colleague who can, please share this thread with them. We would love to get your utility’s thoughts!
Question 7: (Spoke to this questions briefly) – How do you handle situations where you have poor telecom coverage or high latency?
Question 8: Are your decision-makers confident in relying on data-driven insights or is there some hesitance?
Question 9: Has the handling or anonymization of Personally identifiable information (PII) slowed or stopped some of your analytics use cases?
Question 10: Are you performing system-wide asset health monitoring? If so, what it the preferred method (e.g. crew visual inspections, infrared inspections, drone flights, fixed wing flights, etc.)?
If you have any perspective on the above questions we again would love to hear from you in the comment section below. If you have any follow up questions for the SAS team, please reach out directly to @Sacha at Sacha.Fontaine@SAS.com or by phone at 727-488-3801. For those attending UA Week I also recommend visiting the SAS booth and connecting with leaders on site!
Thanks again and we look forward to your responses!
