  • UAI Generative AI Task Force Conversation Starters

I am placing the information from Andy’s email below so you can respond here within the community.

Based on our cursory conversation, it sounds like we’re all in early phases of “getting going”.  While folks were sharing, I jotted down some potential conversation starters for future conversations. I’m open to other thoughts / ideas.

    • How are you restricting (or not restricting) access to LLMs?
    • Where in the organization is AI being explored (your group or other part(s) of the organization)?
    • How are you organizing your team to look at AI?
    • If you’re experimenting/piloting/doing a POC, what’s the use case?
    • What use cases are you either planning to pursue or have at least kicked around?
    • What other organizations are involved in some way to help and/or govern AI (legal, internal audit, ethics, etc.)?
    • Do you have/are you planning on standing up some sort of “task force”, or “AI steering committee”? If so, how are you organizing it?
    • If you’re planning on leveraging AI more broadly, where do you see unlocking value?
    • Have you created a delivery approach to AI? Have you modified how your analytics teams work to in incorporate use of genAI? If so, how?
    • Is your executive team engaged on this topic and what are you having to do to respond to this engagement?

I’d also like surface the idea of conducting a survey (amongst all UAI members) to see how all the members are thinking about/pursuing AI. Not a formal maturity assessment, just to see where folks are and maybe what’s top of mind for them. It may help guide what we do/talk about and may also engender more interest to grow this group.

    Thanks

    Andy
