    Hello UAI Members,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had amazing holidays and took some much deserved time to rest and catch up with friends and family.

Last month we completed our first ever UAI Connect Gamification Challenge and are beyond pleased with the results. In just a few weeks (October 8th – December 15th) we saw a massive spike in engagement throughout UAI Connect where more members were contributing content, discussions, viewing/recommending resources, building their networks, and completing their profiles. To quote our 2021 Most Engaged Community Individual, Ben Ettlinger, “Analytics is complex. Participation in the UAI Community represents a group of analytics experts working together to solve complex problems. Participating in the community by posting/answering questions or contributing advice is not just something that resolves your own issues but also gives you the satisfaction that you’re helping others and contributing to society at large.” (Watch Ben’s full acceptance speech on our 2021 UAI Excellence Awards Page).

Our community wouldn’t be what it is today without our members and we thank each and every one of you for your insight and continued contribution!

Though just three winners were selected for this challenge I wanted to recognize our top 10 most engaged finalists and thank them for their involvement. Please feel free to congratulate our winners and finalists in the comments section below!

We again owe the success of the UAI Community to our members and encourage you to stay engaged and help others get involved within your company. If you’re interested in learning more about engagement on UAI Connect, I’ve left our original gamification post active HERE which provides some more examples and advice.
