  RESULTS: Safety Analytics Benchmarking

  Hello UAI Members,

  Please find the results of our 2023 Safety Analytics Benchmarking Survey in the Community Library of the Safety Analytics Community. You must be a member of the Safety Analytics Community to access the results in the Library. If you are not a member of this Community, you can request to join at https://uaievents.wufoo.com/forms/request-to-join-uai-communities/.

  These results were pulled on March 28, 2023. We had 19 members complete the benchmarking poll. Thanks to everyone that participated! We appreciate your involvement in this valuable project.

  The poll remains open and can still be taken at https://www.menti.com/alrvcrrb93ha. We will leave this part of the poll open until the end of April 2023. At the end of April we will close the benchmarking poll. If we receive additional responses, we will repost the results. 

  These results have been posted anonymously (we removed the slides showing contact information). If you are curious about an answer submitted in this poll, I am happy to get approval from the person that submitted the answer, and then connect you.   Next Steps in this Project: The Safety Analytics Community Leadership Team will be going through all of the answers to the benchmarking poll and working on the following steps:

  1. Identify the top 3-5 safety metrics used, in addition to RIR, and capture members’ results for 2022 to benchmark.
  2. Work together to identify a better alternative than RIR to track Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIF) and/or Potential Serious Injuries and Fatalities (PSIF).
  3. Once a better alternative metric to RIR is identified, capture members’ results annually to benchmark (annually on February 1).
