  UAI Launching a NEW Analytics Community: Generative AI!

  Good morning and happy Friday, UAI Members!

  UAI is launching a NEW Analytics Community! Join your peers in Utility Analytics for UAI’s ninth Community, Generative AI!

  REQUEST TO JOIN the Generative AI Community, as well as any of UAI’s eight other Analytics Communities at https://uaievents.wufoo.com/forms/request-to-join-uai-communities/.

  • The monthly virtual Generative AI Community Conversation will take place the second Thursday of every month from 12:00 – 1:00 PM CT starting March 14, 2024.
  • The purpose of the UAI Generative AI Community is to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and discussion among utility members exploring and implementing Generative AI within their organizations. This community aims to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices related to the application of Generative AI in the utility sector.
  • More information about this NEW Community coming soon to UAI Connect on our “Current Analytics Communities” page at https://connect.utilityanalytics.com/collaborate/current-communities. Keep an eye out soon for the full Community Charter and Scope!
  • A group of volunteer utility members is working on the Charter and Scope now, as well as content for the upcoming Community Conversations. I’d like to send a BIG THANK YOU to our Generative AI Community Leadership Team, consisting of:

  • Members of this leadership team also helped with a survey on Generative AI. Before they were the Gen AI Community Leadership Team, they were part of a UAI Generative AI Taskforce. As the Generative AI Taskforce made the decision to transition into a Community, they commissioned a Generative AI Survey to be taken by Executive Advisory Council (EAC) members after Utility Analytics Week in November 2023. UAI performed an analysis on the results of this survey, identifying where utilities stand in their Generative AI journey at the time of the survey and a comparison of the exploration process for utilities with a Generative AI strategy to those without one.
